They plopped an engineer in the cubicle next to me and I'm contemplating burning his cube down.

Not only is he an arrogant asshat but he's a disgusting loud chewer asshat. This dude is brand new to the company and he had already sent out an email to all employees in our corporate headquarters asking for "men" to join his fall softball team. Well, there was some fallout from the women who received this email and I don't blame them. A couple days later asshat was talking to one of his fellow asshats and mentioned the fallout and then said "maybe the girls should go get their own team instead of ruining our men's league". Key words "girls" and "Men's league".

Today he seems to have a cold so he does that incredibly disgusting thing where he sniffs hard through his nose and then hacks the mucus into his mouth. What he does with it after that I don't know nor do I want to know but it is beyond disgusting!

And I'm pretty sure his mama never thought him to chew with his mouth closed because at lunch time that is all I hear is food chewing. I've taken to ear buds to cancel out as much of his existence as I can.

Loud chewers should all be shot. Yeah, that means all of my immediate family have to go but that's a price I'm willing to pay.

Your company's modus operandi seems to be hiring chauvinists and the like. What's up with that? Or do you only mention the bad parts?

My company when it was started up 60 years ago was run by all male engineers/sales and the only women were secretaries and assistants. Today we have 2 women in top sales positions, a woman CFO, a woman President, and a woman senior VP of marketing, logistics, and trade compliance. It's made great strides in some area's but not value add services including engineering. There is no other female product manager like me within any of the companies I deal with and there are no women engineers within my particular industry. It's just lots of older men who've been engineers for decades and young wet behind the ears engineers who follow their older co-workers lead.

That's lame.
