Nominees were announced; and the Academy says that Silax is wrong about everything. Ok, not everything. But NIghtcrawler wasn't even nominated for either best picture or Best Actor. I still wanna see it though. I have seen exactly 0 of the movies mentioned below. I think Interstellar is the only movie to come out in 2014 that I saw; it was nominated for a few other Oscars.

Oh man, it's not just me? Ha, I have always misread your name as "silax"... a few months ago it was pointed out for the first time that I'd had it wrong all this time, but I'd since totally forgotten about that until now!

It's ok, people used to call me "Gendol", because the "I" in "GendoIkari" looked like an "l" to them, and they thought the name was Gendol Kari.

Yeah I've noticed you and Liszterine and I think maybe Troy once or twice. At first I dismissed it as a typo but then got to wondering if there's a pun or something that I'm missing. Freakin me out man!!

Back on point, though. Yes, Nightcrawler is amazing and Jake Gyllenhaal is amazing in it. I can understand that maybe it's a bit too dark and weird for the Academy to appreciate, but, shit man, it's just so good.

With no Nightcrawler, I'm rooting for Birdman to do well. Birdman is dark and weird, too, but light-hearted enough where I can see it doing decently. I mean it's nominated for fucking everything.
