I was just looking up Matt Damon on IMDB because I was surprised to hear he's doing a new Bourne film. The first topic I click on is this:

I liked him. July liked him. He was pretty cool and funny when he wasn't talking about anything that mattered. Then he became increasingly bitter when we kept pointing out his douchebaggery until all it seemed like he could do was whine.

I think he deleted me from Facebook, which saved me the trouble of figuring out how to delete someone from Facebook (something I'm probably too lazy/not motivated enough to do).

You had him on Facebook? I'm pretty sure I never did. But also everything else you said; before he started getting into real debates about real things, I thought he was just a weird but funny and interesting guy. But he eventually made it obvious that he was just a troll.

Gogo was adequately interesting when he was miles from a serious topic of discussion. His asshattedness revealed itself when he tried to do that.

As far as I know, July and I were the only ones from here that he friended on Facebook. I'm not sure if July still has him on her friends list.

Even when gogo wasn't getting involved in political topics or being an ass, I found him inexplicably annoying. Hard to put into words...just something very shifty about him.

Like, I understand the concept behind kicking people off the board, but I don't agree with it. Everyone here basically agrees with each other all the time. We need a, uh, a wild card. Or a monthly quota mandating every board member attempt to interject something silly into their posts a required minimum number of times.

The last pm combination I had with him was a little sad. I can't remember what it was but Michael and I were annoying OGL and I somehow made a mistake and ended up getting gogo involved. So I pm'ed him "sorry, we're playing." and he was "oooh! a game?!?!?!" And I was like "yes. Whitey, Ogl and I are playing." And his response was "oh, ok." And that was the last time I ever spoke to him.

I know that feeling.

I will gladly draw silly things if we actually start doing that again.

What would you like to draw? We need to find someone to tell us what to draw.

I'm genuinely not opposed to people arguing about things - I think it's a good thing, despite my position as an overly PC SJW liberal bully. It's just that a lot of the people we've had here who have been in opposition to, for want of a better term, the general board consensus have also been trolly little fucks who weren't genuinely interested in honest debate.

As aels said, there was a large gap between how he tried to present himself and how he actually was(even that doesn't quite get to the heart of the matter because you could easily say everyone does that to some degree). To clarify, I was asking why Dork Lork left.

I'm assuming she's responding to me and talking about Dork Lord. DL never really left; but he had gotten busier and busier until he was never posting any more. Then when we created this new board (maybe even that last version; not sure); he never signed up. The only way he would know this board exists is from the message I sent him on Reddit.

Yes, Brandon actually banned OGL Gogo because he was a member of the VIP section; and he had no way to remove him from VIP other than banning him completely. After he started getting more and more trollish; we realized we didn't want him being able to see our personal stuff.

Even that wouldn't have been so bad if he wasn't actually a complete piece of shit. His being a piece of shit made his annoying personality so much worse.

I don't see how any of that is a reason to dislike someone who's essentially a stranger on an online forum. Yes, he was phony but at least it was funny (I suppose that's the part up for debate). The fact of the matter is his presence here, to me, was completely arbitrary, neither good nor bad, but there was at least a slight relief of humor, fake or forced or whatever the hell it was or sincere is inconsequential. But, oh well. The chips fell and he got kicked out. I don't think Bruce or I are defending him personally, just the idea that wackiness is a good thing whether the bearer of it is a douche or not.
