This is your band or something? You're a musician? What do you play?
It's good; Ash and Wind gives me a Black Keys vibe.

Aw, I hate the Black Keys, but you meant it in a good way, so thanks. ![none [none]](./images/smilies/none.gif)
Yes, yes, and the drums.

Ha. I should clarify that I only know one of their songs (Lonely Boy).

"Little Black Submarine" is one of my favorite songs ever. If someone tells you you're like the Black Keys, that's good.

Lord Can You Hear Me sounds like the BRMC.
Re: Shameful self-promotion
I like that comparison much better. Thanks.
It's a Spacemen 3 song originally.

Re: Shameful self-promotion
What bands/artists have influenced you guys? Some of those songs have a familiar kinda sound but I can't place it.
Re: Shameful self-promotion
The guy who wrote most of them would site The Velvet Underground and Creedance Clearwater Revival, but obviously they don't sound much like those bands. I don't know what the hell we sound like, but our influences are vast.
Influences we all share include the above mentioned along with other classic rock bands like The Beatles, Bowie, The Doors, Pink Floyd etc. The guitarist/lead vocalist/main songwriter also enjoys The Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails (which I believe is evident). The bassist likes metal. I like hip-hop and funk. So, yeah.

Ha, fair enough, quite the mix. I admit to having pretty much never heard a Nine Inch Nails song. The intro to Operator reminds me vaguely of 'Wild Thing' by The Troggs. I can definitely heard CCR too, love what I've heard of those guys.
Re: Shameful self-promotion
Nine Inch Nails are OK. In the early days, they produced decent rock music, but got a little too teenage angst-y for me.

Re: Shameful self-promotion
I listened to part of the first song, and the intro reminded me of Pink Floyd. The way it starts off so quiet you're not even sure the music started, and then it slowly builds on that sound you're not sure you heard.
