Black Lego Man not a slave even though comes with collar

W...T...F?

I'm all for historical context in things like educational toys but LEGO is NOT an education toy and to actually sell a "pirate" ship that comes with a dark skinned lego man and a metal collar with instructions to lock it around his neck and then a cargo cell in the belly of the ship...FFS

It's not Lego, it's Playmobil.
They usually try to depict their sets in a way that is perceived as being historically correct.
If they modify their sets, then sometimes due to pressure in the name of political correctness. Example: They removed a dancing bear from a medieval set, because animal rights activists didn't like it.

Maybe the slave will be removed from the pirate set, if people protest against it. So my advice to the owners of the pirate slave character would be: Keep it. One day it might become a collector's item.
Common sense is another word for prejudice.

Funny thing is I was totally going to make a joke about historical accuracy.
