Now I'm becoming obsessed with watching Gladwell videos, and this video about the causes of plane crashes is so fascinating. I've always thought most were caused by technical issues, but it seems social/communication issues are a primary cause.

The crazy thing is that this apparently isn't too far from the reality of some plane crashes....co-pilots being super polite in emergency situations because of weird power dynamics.

John Finnemore, who wrote the series, has a dad who is a pilot and who apparently acted as an advisor.
