Paris Attacks

Post by Blade Azaezel »

For those who've not seen the news yet, I imagine this might be a big story today/tomorrow morning:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34814203

And out of the woodwork come all the racists and bigots, claiming we need to shut our borders and stop our taxes from paying towards scrounging terrorists. Ugh.

I literally just said to Sofia that I feel sorry for the Muslims living in Paris who are probably going to have their lives turn to shit because they're going to get a shit ton of abuse from racists and idiots after this.

Not even just the Muslims, I've already seen people making blanket statements about 'migrants' and 'immigrants'. The most wilfully ignorant may even attack brown people in general. Sikhs, for example, get backlash because turban = terrorist.

Yeah that's true, but France is probably even more anti Islamic than the UK so I think they'll bear the brunt.

I read a comment just now that went "middle-eastern refugees are fleeing from the same kind of violent fanatics that are conducting attacks like this". Which, yeah. That's the particularly heart-breaking thing about racists and bigots insisting that we should halt immigration because terrorists - the people seeking asylum are seeking asylum from terrorists.
