I am actually curious which version you saw. Was there an amalgam of characters throughout one story or was it based on one of their movies (ex: Frozen on Ice).
When was a kid, I went to a couple that had a story involving various characters.
It was multiple stories. The overarching "plot" was Goofy and Donald Duck trying to make a movie but not knowing what to make it about. So Mickey and Minnie showed various Disney stories to give them ideas. The stories they did were:
Pinocchio (a tiny bit)
Finding Nemo
Beauty and the Beast
Mulan
Frozen
For the latter 3, they basically did the entire stories in an abridged manner. The also had a single-scene number from Aladdin, and brief appearances from basically all the Disney Princesses.

I miss the days when they did a story with a mix of good guys going against a mix of villains.
well excuse me princess is the complex emotional torment of Iago and Aladdin's struggle to adjust to his new life of privilege and all the other good songs not good enough for u

Considering they made Gilbert Gottfried a focus point...and there were other good songs?
I'm Looking Out for Me and Forget About Love are great songs. Nothing In The World is an okay song but it's still a good song. The Aladdin sequels are the hill I am prepared to die on.

Even if I were to agree, there is a huge downfall to Return of Jafar that has yet to be mentioned and that's Dan Castellaneta trying to be Robin Williams voicing the genie.
It wasn't a terrible Williams impression though. I am prepared to overlook it, in much the same way I am prepared to overlook the fact that Maleficent in Kingdom Hearts was voiced by Susanne Blakeslee instead of Eleanor Audrey (for reasons of deadness) or that Tigger is Jim Cummings now and not Paul Winchell.

Tigger & Maleficent are both straightforward characters. The Genie's popularity stemmed from Williams' skill at impressions and improvisation. Dan couldn't match what Robin brought to the Genie. Though I will agree he gave it his best, Dan's genie truly is second rate.
I put it to you, m'lud, that you are doing the converse of what you said here: '[Liking the songs] is like arguing Phantom Menace is a good movie because it had one of the best lightsaber fights'. If I am not allowed to, in your view, excuse a poor movie because I like the songs, you are not allowed to berate a good movie because you don't like one of the voice actors. SO THERE

I also mentioned Gilbert Gottfried & how it was a mistake to make a character with hos a voice a major player. I also disagreed that the other songs were good.
I have considered your objections and determined they have no merit. Also, Gilbert Gottfried should never be allowed to speak anywhere at any time. It should be a crime to be Gilbert Gottfried.

I mean, you're wrong but it's okay if you're prepared to live your life like that.

When Cash disagrees with me, I know I've done something right.
If by "something right" you mean "lost the argument before it even began" then yes, well done. Also, aelmai already said "SO THERE" in all caps. That ends all discussion.

If by "lost the argument before it began" you mean "inadvertently helping me make my point regarding Gottfried", then I'll take it.
