Reddit is amazing today
After Bernie Sanders' shellacking in South Carolina yesterday by Hillary Clinton, mostly because of black voters, Sanders supporters on Reddit are completely losing their minds. There is so much crazy racism going on there. Sanders supporters are proving themselves just as racist as Trump supporters. It's hilarious. Let it never be said again that there's any significant difference between liberals and conservatives when it comes to anti-black racism. Even the "progressive" "socialist" "far left" can't contain its contempt and hatred for black people if they don't follow the line.
So much whining and crying. I will be so happy if the black vote single-handedly gives this election to Clinton. So happy. The whining and crying from racist sexist Internet brogressives will be unimaginable. Not that I want Clinton to win, exactly, but... I kind of do. Just to see Reddit's epic temper tantrum.

Don't you always say reddit is populated by the worst society has to offer? I dunno if that's true, but if it is, I don't think it's fair to say that Bernie's supporters are just as racist as Trump's based on reddit's reaction.

A small number of them were consolidated here:

Re: Reddit is amazing today
Oh yeah I was being hyperbolic. But the Sandersbots on Reddit are generally definitely racist. Reddit I think is the central hub for all his more hardcore supporters, so maybe it's only slightly unfair to think it's representative. Maybe the casual supporter isn't racist (unlike the "casual" Trump supporter, if such a thing exists), but the more hardcore supporters who converged on Reddit are definitely showing their true colors.
But there's been some low-grade racism emanating from them for a long time, not just now. Like how they've always been holding up his arrest during the civil rights movement as some kind of mic drop for why he deserves the black vote, as if black people as a group owe him something because he got arrested fifty years ago. Clueless stuff like that. And getting mad at black people who aren't offended by Hillary Clinton's "superpredators" remark from twenty years ago... as if they have a right lecturing black people on what they should be offended by. Like they know what goes on in black America more than actual black Americans do.

Okay. I was reading through some of it, and it's coming across as people celebrating racism rather than being disgusted by it. Like, "look how racist those other people are! lololololol!"
This is what happens when people care more about not being seen as racist than simply not being racist in actuality.

Well, many of them seem disgusted by it. Personally, my disgust started by the reaction to BML protesters interrupting a Sanders speech six months ago, and it's been festering ever since. So now it seems almost like a relief - they've been hiding it for months, and now it's all coming out. With this political season I am beyond disgusted. I am all disgusted out. I can't feel disgust anymore. My reserves have been depleted.

Yeah...obviously they're criticizing racists, but there is an overall sense of glee in the criticism that's off-putting. Feels more like playing politics(like it's a game) than really standing for something...
(Also, it's probably 'cause I'm never surprised by white people being racist...even the most left-leaning. So, it's not an epic reveal. Unless they're people I'm personally close to.)

Oh, I agree. I just found out about that sub today, so I don't stand by it.
And yeah, as I've said, I grew up sort of sheltered, so I still get surprised at the racism of some white people... until today. There's nothing that will surprise me after today.
