Advice needed with dealing with sexist bullshit

So recently, the coach of the Blue Jays said some sexist shit:

In Tuesday night's game in Florida, Jose Bautista was called for an illegal slide in the top of the ninth that robbed the Jays of two runs that would have put them in the lead.

Commenting on the call, Gibbons said after the game that "maybe we'll come out and wear dresses tomorrow. Maybe that's what everybody's looking for."

Someone over IMDB is trying to tell me that it's not actually sexist, because women are objectively than men as a group, so somehow this isn't sexist. The best counter-argument I'm thinking of is basically that even if we assume that women (in general) are weaker than men, using the statement like that in a pejorative way is still really fucking sexist. Is there another, more cogent counter-argument I could make? I feel like I'm missing something that's kinda obvious, but I'm drawing a blank here.

If you wish to continue, I'd focus more on the implication that women aren't "tough"...rather than focusing on pure physical strength.

Haha, I'm actually not all that upset by this. I've argued with this guy on multiple occasions and I know his MO. While this thread was specifically directed at his response, "men are stronger than women" is a common argument to justify sexism and I've always had difficulty articulating why they're still being sexist.

Yeah, I originally was going to title the thread "Another Dishonest Fuck" . Anyway, I kinda addressed the toughness aspect.His response was, as you'd expect - studies show men have higher tolerance for pain, and they're more likely to take risks.
