Made a major miscalculation...

Post by Unvoiced_Apollo »

Went on a 5 mile hike Saturday.

Sunday, pushed myself in my gym class then toured the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

My legs are screaming at me "why?!?"

Drink a bottle of Gatorade and stretch before and after workouts.

Anyone who doesn't hate Sandler needs to go to a concentration camp at this point.

Boo, Sandler is pretty great when he's not doing intentionally bad movies. I would have expected you to like Punch Drunk Love especially. Aside from that, there's Reign Over Me, Spanglish, Click, and 50 First Dates.

No, Sandler should be in prison for the crime of Being Adam Sandler.

Dynamic stretches before, static afterward [none]

It can't be that good, because Adam Sandler's in it.

I'd seen things like 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer and thought he wasn't too bad but I later realised he is and it was only Drew Barrymore's presence that made the films passable.

On his on he's terrible.

You're the one who indirectly changed the subject to Adam Sandler. We will talk about Adam Sandler until everyone agrees that he's a terrible person.

My Sandler hatred aside, I shall definitely see it at some point. Like I said, it can't be that good cuz'' Sandler, but it really can't be that bad cuz' PTA.

Also, I second aels. Fuck exercise.

There are two solutions.
1) Exercise every day, and your legs will get used to it.
2) Don't exercise at all. The best place for sports is in front of the TV.

^ pretty much this - Keep going with exercise and your legs will love you.

One Adam Sandler - pretty much can't stand the guy, even Happy Gilmore and Waterboy which most people seem to love.
However - the exceptions to the rule are definitely "Punch Drunk Love" and "50 First dates" .. the first is just brilliant, the second is light hearted fun.
Special mentions go to "Funny People" which was almost brilliant and Spanglish - which was almost touching.

Funny People I had to stop because it was boring me to death. The best Sandler film is actually Billy Madison, which no one has mentioned. The Wedding Singer was pretty good too, and he had a few other decent flicks, but I still agree that he's an ass and he needs to be stopped.

As for exercise, I look forward to the days when robots do our bidding, like in Wall-E.

Did my "crazy workout" with 20 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, deadlifts, narrow grip pullups, & walking lunges.

Now my whole body hates me. [laugh].

Real exercise - put a newborn calf across your shoulders and do ten squat thrusts. Repeat daily with the same calf. When you can no longer complete ten it's time for steak.
