They're going to start making more of their bikes outside of America. I'm not sure that's what Trump had in mind when he started all this? Or did he? Does he know what he's doing?

EDIT: I guess the quote is fake. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But I'd like to think the sentiment is real.

Re: Harley Davidson's Response to Trump's Trade War
That would be funny if that was a real response, but alas I fear you're right and it's fake.
But Trump's response is typical in that his default action is to try to bully people and deflect from the possibility that he could bear any personal responsibility for any of it. I suspect the truth of the matter is that as HD were already outsourcing some of their manufacturing they had been considering outsourcing some more of it, and the whole tariff thing just definitively made their minds up for them/sped up the process. Trump's decisions have given them a great excuse and he's playing along with it nicely.

Maybe it's time for new alliances.
Europe and Asia, instead of Europe and America.
Mentalitywhise, Europe may have more in common with the Americas, but in economy, reliability is important. And the current POTUS does not seem to be reliable.

Common sense is another word for prejudice.
