Ha, when I saw the title of this thread, I got mixed up and was thinking of "In and Out", with Kevin Kline. Thought you were just naming an old movie to make fun of Dragon.

Anyway, this looks like a rip off of Osmosis Jones. [none]

I've seeen others compare it to Osmosis Jones, which makes no sense to me.

I haven't seen it mentioned; though I haven't read anything about it online. Seems like an obvious comparison to me; they're both movies about showing the inside of the human body by personifying each body part. I'm sure there will still be plenty of differences though.

It's kind of like comparing Frozen to the Lion King. There might be a similar, vague skeleton to the story but both are obviously quite different. It's like saying apples are a ripoff of oranges since they both have peels, have flesh and seeds, and taste sweet.

I thought it might be like saying that Daredevil, Ironman and Captain America are all ripoffs of Batman; because all three are obvious ripoffs of Batman.

I can see an argument for Daredevil & Ironman (the latter of which is objectively better than Batman). Captain America I'm not seeing. I'd say he's more Superman in terms of character, though nowhere near as powerful.

He has a shield instead of batarangs. Batman ripoff. Ironman is one of the worst major superhero characters ever.

When I say "objectively better" regarding Ironman, I'm specifically referring to their equipment and wealth.

Then there's this:

Captain America also has a super soldier serum and a boy scout complex.

I never said Stark was the more compelling character. But he clearly has a better handle on his toys and wealth.

Whatever similarities Frozen and The Lion King may have; they're pretty generic plot points that have existed in any number of movies or stories. Osmosis Jones had something unique and original; a plot revolving around personifying the inside of the human body with different characters representing different body parts.

Again, I don't really think that Inside Out is just a ripoff of Osmosis Jones. But the main basic idea that the movie revolves around is a main basic idea that was done in Osmosis Jones. And because this main basic idea is a special and unique concept, it's not the same as looking at a main basic idea such as "person runs away from home to escape his fears". The plot itself, as well as theme and characters and everything, will be quite different I'm sure.

I know you don't. It just reminded me of the similar accusation is all, which is humourously reflected in Honest Trailers The Lion King.

Back on track...

I find it interesting that they only have one feeling we all see as positive (Joy) and the rest are "negative" (Anger, Sadness, Fear, Disgust). Though given how hard we tend to be on ourselves, it makes sense to see such a bias.

And Lewis Black as anger? Total miscast [none].

Well crud, Hitfix is claiming this is one of Pixar's most creative movies ever:

And i only say crud because I don't want to get hyped up and then disappointed upon seeing it.

Once again feeling a bit creepy...oh well...considering the reviews, I think it'll be worth it.

Very good movie. Definitely one of Pixar's best and definitely reminds you why they're bastards (think Up, Toy Story 2, & Toy Story 3). A little slow in some areas, but it's fun & quite emotional (pun not intended). It has a very grown up lesson and definitely feels they had adulls more in mInd than kids. 8/10
