That sub is simultaneously depressing and offensive and baffling. It's basically misogynist guys with white fathers and Asian mothers being racist against Asians and how they hate their Asian mother and blame her for all the racism they experience, manifested primarily in how girls won't date them (white girls think they're inferior and gross, Asian girls want to date actual Asian guys), and how their Asianness is the bane of their life and they're disgusted by it and they hate their ugly Asian features for making them unattractive and stupid and forever alone.

Coming from a country where Eurasian people are generally considered the most attractive - more so than vanilla white people - and have lovesick people of various genders and races falling all over them, this is all very surreal to read.

I'm also annoyed at their persistent assumption that America is the only country in the world, because the vast majority of their statements wouldn't be true in any other country.

I only found that sub because sometimes they talk about Keanu. Which makes it all the more confusing that they think Eurasian men are ugly. Have they actually *looked* at Keanu?

EDIT: I completely don't get how Asian men in general are apparently considered unattractive in the US, because I'm regularly surrounded by ridiculously good-looking Asian guys who are unfortunately either straight or taken.

Once, a google alert for Keanu led me to a Stormfront thread where people were using him as an example of why mixed-race marriages were bad.

Racial discussion around Keanu is always really weird. On one hand there are the people who say that he's a completely white-passing guy appropriating POC identity, whom no one would believe was mixed if they weren't told, and on the other hand there are people making racist comments about how he looks "gross and Asian" and needs to stop playing white roles because no one would believe he's a white guy.

No idea what the deal is with the States - and really no objective data to support any statement in either direction, but my initial reaction here is that most mixed race people seem to be considered more attractive generally than either of their contributing races individually.
It's a more exotic - best of both worlds sort of thing.. Guess that depends largely on what you look like tho - but I personally tend to find someone who is attractive and mixed race more attractive than someone who is attractive and just white.. and whenever it comes up (which isn't really all that frequently) that seems to be the general consensus

Yeah, I'm the same with mixed race people of any races - on average I tend to find them more attractive than those who are just one race, which might mean I'm subconsciously racist towards all the races.

This subculture is just full of odd self-hate and misogyny. They make statements like "Every single WMAF son in the history of the world is a failure" or "I'm extremely angry about being a Eurasian male. There is no getting around that fact. I honestly and truly believe that there is nothing worse in life than being the son of a white dad and asian mom. That is the complete destruction of the soul. I blame everyone for this fact. White men and asian women for creating this situation. Asian men for building the culture which produced the most immoral race of women. Colored men, for joining in on the pile-up. And even white women, for the absolute disgust they hold Eurasian men in. I'm estranged from the entire human race."

I have/had various half white half Asian friends, and they were all perfectly well adjusted humans. This seems to be a very US centric problem.

...what the crap. This isn't even scientific in any way. DNA is 50/50. And one of my classmates had an Asian father and white mother and he looked extremely Asian. There was some other comment about how those relationships are based on "hatred and sexual fetishes", which is just insulting to all the amazing, loving mixed-race families I know.

Yeah, and it's disturbing how so many of those people sound exactly the same in their ideology when the only thing they all have in common is having a white father and Asian mother, and being American. It's no longer an individual issue but some toxic, disturbingly specific convergence of anti-Asian racism and misogyny particular to the U.S., and what makes it particularly difficult is that these people developed their racist views as a result of racism first used against them and then internalized and used against others.
