This movie is FUCKING cool. I just watched it and it fucking rocks. Holy shit. I loved it. Go watch it. It was intense, atmospheric, corny, nonsensical, and just completely badass. The music was great. The actors were great and the characters and the pacing and the action and all of it was just awesome. They didn't bother explaining shit, lol. Don't look up anything about it, just watch it. Maika Monroe stars in it and after this and It Follows I've decided I'm going to watch anything she's in. She fucking rocks.

Best time I've had watching a movie in a long time.

never heard of it, which means it's unfortunately not going to be in any of my theaters nearby, which means I'm not going to be able to see it.

It Follows was really good. But, it could have been better/scarier.

There were a few things they could have done to make it much creepier, which I had expected the filmmakers to exploit as I watched. A part of me was relieved they didn't go there 'cause I would have shit my pants.

I didn't think It Follows was very good. It was unique and interesting, but not very good.

Well, compared to every other cliche horror flick, it's pretty damn good.

I've seen it. I really liked it. It took me a moment to reconcile the "Guest" with his previous role in Dowtown Abbey. I hated him as Matthew in DA but in this film he totally redeemed himself. I hope he does more action films like this.

Yeah he was really good in it. I've never seen Downton Abbey but he was a perfect mix of charming and dangerous here.

In Downton Abbey he was a nerdy guy that I found very annoying. And to be honest (this is so shallow) he was chubby and not very attractive in DA so that's why it took me a while to first, realize who he was in The Guest and 2nd to get past his role in DA.

Anyways, you're right, he was spot on with this character. [yes]

Well, the primary reason I like Maika Monroe so much is because she's attractive and I'm shallow, so no worries about that. Also because she seems cool and she seems to like appearing in cool genre movies.

I just watched it. It was good. She's hot. Yeah, nothing much more than a silly little thriller. The end scene in the haunted house thing was pretty cool. I dunno what you're so excited about though.

I'm so excited because when I watched it I expected it to be boring shit and what I got was something really entertaining, engrossing, and badass. The pacing was excellent, the characters were great, and the atmosphere was pretty cool, even though it radically changed tone through the third act. I couldn't take my eyes away from it. It was fun and I just enjoyed it.

It didn't quite live up to your hype. Funny thing about expectations. Most of the movies I've enjoyed the most are when I have had little to no expectations nor any knowledge of the plot.

That ending was so original. There was no way anybody could predict that. I was so shocked when that fireman said they found two burned bodies inside. I was wondering what could have possibly happened that they didn't find three. Oh, and a badass who outfights a half dozen men armed with automatic weapons gets taken down by a twenty-year old waitress and her teenage brother with one shot from a pistol and getting stabbed twice. That was totally believable.

That's how it was here.

Usually when I watch a movie I have to force myself to enjoy it, or I just wait for it to be over, or I tune out when it stops being good. None of that happened here, I enjoyed every second of it. My only real complaint is that it was too short.

I guess my standards are so low now that I get really excited when movies exhibit the basic minimum of filmmaking and storytelling competence. Like, it wasn't spectacular, but it was still good, and most movies fail to be that.

Edit: No, I'm conceding too much, it was still great. The vibe was cool, that might be what I like most about it.
