Stuff I seen slightly worth watching,

Post by CashRules »

since most of you don't watch stuff worth watching.

Get Low: Indy film about a man with a horrible secret who finally decides it's time to tell the truth after 40 years. Marv actually told me about this one so he's not a complete waste of carbon. Stars Robert Duvall (which makes it a good movie by default), Bill Murray, Sissy Spacek, Gerald McRaney, and Lucas Black. That's a pretty decent line-up for an Indy film. Don't let the opening scene with Chandler Riggs turn you off, that's his only scene and he doesn't speak. 7/10

Sorority Row: College slasher film. A group of sorority girls decide to play a trick on one's brother. The plan backfires and I mean it really backfires. It's not bad for the genre. I've never heard of anyone in this movie except Rumer Willis and I've only heard of her because her dad is the greatest actor ever. [none] Not bad if you don't have anything to do and want to listen to college girls screaming. 6/10 Would probably be better with weed.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World: Weird apocalyptic film with Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, It's interesting. 7/10 Would probably be better with shrooms.

Ask Me Anything: Girl with a blog and a weird damn life. Interesting with a very confusing ending that shows that things really weren't what they seem. Several well known actors in supporting roles: Martin Sheen, Robert Patrick, Christian Slater, Brad Paisley's wife. 6/10 Drugs would just make it more confusing.

Left Behind: Yeah, I'm joking. Damn this sucks. There aren't enough drugs in the world. This is the Vegas Devil of movies. If anyone ever suggests watching this movie, throw salt in their eyes.

I liked Sorority Row well enough. Briana Evigan is really hot, so I mainly kept watching for her. Seeking a Friend... was a decent film too. I really like Steve Carell and I've had a crush on Keira Knightley since I was about 15. It was an interesting change for apocalypse movies.

I am tempted to watch Left Behind just to see how often my eyes roll and I scoff with contempt for the whole premise. I think it might be on Netflix. Can anyone confirm? [none]

I assume you guys are talking about the new Left Behind? I wrote up a review on it somewhere around here. It basically has next-to-nothing to do with the rapture or Christianity or the books.
