This sad scene from the live-action Jungle Book(1994)

Post by Cassius Clay »

...always made me feel so bad for Mowgli, when I was a kid. Now when I hear "Emperor waltz"(the second clip), it has a melancholy feel for me. And I don't think that's the feeling the song is originally meant to evoke. The "Emperor Waltz" is near the beginning of the longer second clip, but it starts with "Blue Danube"...so I used to think they were the same song for the longest time.

You may recognize an infamous brother-fucking wench in this clip. [none]

And Cary Elwes plays the comically posh and hilariously evil British white man to perfection.

I couldn't find one solid clip of the whole scene, so had to use two!

Poor Mowgli. [sad]

And what the hell happened to Jason Scott Lee. I had high hopes for that bastard.

I didn't but I should have done because Cary Elwes is the business and deserves to be a bigger name than he is.

I like Elwes too. But I don't want to make love to him. [none]

Jason Scott Lee was attractive and I don't usually like guys like him. I only remember him in the Bruce Lee movie, then it's like he never existed at all.

That movie and this jungle book are two of my childhood favorites. Don't know what happened with him. Hollywood be racist.

Okay it's like 3:30 AM but I think I'm going to have to watch The Princess Bride before I go to bed now. It's the law.

I checked his IMDB and he was in Solider. I saw that movie as a kid too and I remember it being kind of awesome but didn't recognize him there. I think he played the bad guy.

Yeah...I think I vaguely remember him in Soldier. Fingers crossed for a comeback! [none]

And 'The Princess Bride' was randomly on tv last night. And, yes, I watched the whole thing. I'm not ashamed.

15 days too late, but no I never did. As I kid, I was introduced to the animated version earlier and got bored because they animals didn't talk.

Princess Bride is awesome. I watch it for Vizzini himself.
