Ever had one of those days...

Post by CashRules »

...when you're broke as hell and start rolling up the loose change just to buy something to eat? So, I figured I'd have about $15 or $20 in change lying around the house and started rolling it up. I ended up with 6 rolls of quarters, 9 rolls of dimes, 7 rolls of nickels and 11 rolls of pennies for $124.50. After feeling real proud of myself I watched in horror as two lesbians walked by and grabbed 3 rolls of quarters and 2 rolls of dimes. So now I'm down to $84.50 in change. That's still enough to eat and buy some weed so I shall survive another day, as long as I can avoid lesbians until the weed dealer gets here.

I did that kind of stuff when I was in and just after I graduated college. I haven't had to do that in a while, but I did actually go through my coins and such and I found around $140 or something like that.

A cashier once accidentally gave me 20 bucks instead of 2, at a time when I really needed a few extra bucks. I reluctantly corrected her mistake because I didn't want her to get in trouble.

Hah, something similar happened to me when I was driving back to college after summer break. I stopped at a WaWa (sorta like a better version of 7/11) to get some coffee and a sandwich. I was talking to the cashier about something, and when he gave me change he accidentally gave me a 20 instead of a 10. I didn't realize it until I was in the car and debated whether to drive away with the extra amount or not. I decided to be a good citizen (*pats self on back*) and went back in the store to correct it. The cashier had realized his mistake too based on the look on his face, and was relieved when I walked back in to tell him. He gave me a free item (one of those incredibly sugar iced-coffees by Starbucks) for being a "good person."

Cleaning my room I lost about 3 dollars taking my coins that were strewn all about to a coin star & getting 127 dollars in cash.

Originally a Pennsylvania, mid-Atlantic convenience store. They've expanded along the east coast mostly. Entirely superior to Sheetz in every way imaginable.

While we're patting ourselves on the back, when I was a kid I used to steal packs of football cards from the Goodtimes store, and when a clerk caught me one time I gave the pack back to her.
