tl;dr this person has a trans female co-worker who looks and acts like a manly dude but dresses kind of feminine and is named Jennifer. This person argues that he's known lots of men with female names, like Sue or Kelly, and that trans people are allegedly always arguing that you can't assume someone's gender based on their name or dress or else you're a racist bigot, and so he thinks it's unreasonable that she gets upset when people refer to her with male pronouns, or when HR allegdly fired someone for calling her a man, because how is anyone supposed to know?
tbh the only reason I've hung on so long is that I'm getting autistic vibes from him with his stubborn adherence to strict logic, difficulty grasping how probability and social interaction work and refusing to apologise for things that he says aren't his fault. I also empathize with the frustration when ambiguously-gendered people expect you to be psychic and get furious over innocent mistakes, and I dislike the expectation of using non-standard pronouns because they're grammatically difficult to incorporate into normal speech and wholly impractical in professional settings. But I've never encountered that IRL, just on Tumblr.
EDIT: nah, he's not worth it.
