Yeah, for those curious... it's about a mom and her two children, a boy and a girl. I think they tried to film it in a way where you can see the story developed through the young boy's point of view, and as time passes, the children grow up, the mom gets married to her dick head teacher and the dad pops up once in a while, they used the same actors as time progresses and that would be cool to see except... nothing happens in this movie. Nothing happens. Nothing at all. You see the kid playing videogames, you see the sister annoying the kid, you see the mom picking the kid up from school.....

There was a part where it did get my interest and it was when the stepdad turned abusive, so I thought, "YES!!! ABUSE! SOMETHING'S HAPPENING!" But 5 minutes later the mom runs away with the children..... and more scenes of nothing all over again so by that point, I really didn't give a shit anymore. I wasn't invested enough to see if the mom rescues the other kids from the abusive dad, if the daughter uses a condom with Garret, if Ethan Hawke finally gets a job, if Patricia Arquette gets rid of the awful hair cut... you know, stuff normal people like to wonder about when they go see a movie.
Don't waste your time with this one. Sikax and DA were right. I should have listened, those are 40 minutes of my youth I will never get back.
