But its a different kind of crazy.
Meet former law enforcement officer from Montana, John A. Cameron:

Cameron is the author of a book in which he makes numerous wild claims about deceased serial killer, Edward Wayne Edwards. Now, this requires knowing a little about Edwards. Edwards was a serial killer, this is not disputed by any knowledgeable person. He is known to have killed 5 people between the years 1977 and 1996 and most experts believe that there are probably a few more murders committed by Edwards for which he was never charged since there was a 16 year gap prior to his last known murder during which he was not proven to have murdered anyone. It should be noted that prior to his first two known murders in 1977, Edwards was somewhat of a "celebrity" due to several events in his life. During the early 60s he was on the FBI's Most Wanted List for a short time after escaping from prison in Akron, Ohio. He had been convicted of several crimes which did not involve killing anyone. Then, in the early 70s, Edwards himself wrote a book detailing how he had supposedly turned away from his life of crime and he appeared on several television programs promoting his book. This was about five years prior to his first two known killings. So there is no doubt that Edwards was a career criminal and accomplished con artist.
Cameron, however, goes off the deep end with his supposed knowledge of Edwards' life as a serial killer. According to Cameron, Edwards is single-handedly responsible for virtually every unsolved murder in the U.S. from just after World War II until his own death in 2011. Edwards was also, if Cameron is to be believed, responsible for framing numerous people for many solved murder cases. Cameron credits Edwards with almost every unsolved murder from the Black Dahlia to JonBenet Ramsey, and of course he also murdered Jimmy Hoffa. I'm not even making that up, I know it sounds like the kind of thing I would add just to be sarcastic but Cameron actually makes the claim that Edwards killed the Black Dahlia (Elizabeth Short) when he was 13 years old (and that's not even his first murder, he killed three or four people prior to that), then he killed several hundred more people between killing the Black Dahlia and his killing of Hoffa in 1975 and then killed another few hundred after murdering Hoffa and prior to murdering JonBenet Ramsey in 1996, after which he went on to kill about a hundred more people, including Chandra Levy (of course) in 2001. Along the way, Edwards framed Dr. Sam Sheppard for the murder of his wife (thank God F. Lee Bailey was able to get Sheppard's conviction overturned in spite of the frame-up by the criminal mastermind that was Edwards. Edwards also framed Wayne Williams for the Atlanta Child Murders as well as being the Zodiac Killer AND the Zodiac copycat in New York and he is also the person responsible for framing the West Memphis Three for the murders of three young boys in Arkansas. Edwards also framed Laci Peterson's husband for her murder and was the person responsible for the Robinson family murders in Michigan in 1968.
Edwards was most prolific during the 70s, a decade in which he would travel the country killing hundreds of people by dozens of different methods but was somehow able to keep his killings as the Zodiac separate from his other "personas' as the Highway 101 killer, the murderer of several people in Montana, traveling to Michigan to kill Hoffa, living in Florida while operating in California as both the Zodiac and Highway 101 killers, and also making a quick trip to Connecticut to kill Martha Moxley (a crime for which kennedy family cousin Michael Skaekel was convicted years later). He was also thr Gypsy Hill killer in northern California and Nevada but was somehow able to keep this killing spree completely separate from his killings as the Zodiac less than 200 miles away. He also traveled to West Virginia during this time to kill a nun and then to nearby Ohio to kill a young couple and a few people in Pennsylvania. But he had to hurry up and get back to California to continue as the Zodiac. But he must have liked Pennsylvania since he was back there killing people just a few months later.
Then he had to hurry his ass to Georgia because there were more than 25 black children he needed to kill there during the late 70s/early 80s and he had to mastermind the framing the man eventually convicted of several of those killings. In between the killings in Atlanta he had to make a trip to Ohio again because there was another nun he had to kill and a priest to frame. This was at least the third nun he had killed in three different states and he was able to frame at least two priests. Back to Atlanta to continue killing black kids, except he had to take a break from that once again to travel to Wisconsin to kill two of the people he actually admitted to killing. Then back to Atlanta and then back to Wisconsin to be interviewed by the police...and...back to Atlanta. Then back to Pennsylvania for another round of killing there and then to Florida to kill John Walsh's son, Adam. Then its back to Pennsylvania again and then to Virginia.
Edwards was so good at what he did that even in his later years, while dragging around an oxygen tank, he was able to beat athletic, strong young men to death. That takes dedication. Oh, and not to leave out my home state, he also killed at least one person in Memphis, Tennessee near the Pyramid arena. In all, Edwards spent 60 years killing at least 600 people in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. No doubt Canada and Mexico have a few innocent people behind bars for murders that Edwards actually committed. He also didn't want to leave out D.C. so he traveled there to kill Chandra Levy.
The bizarre way in which Cameron tries to take mundane statements from Edwards' book and link them to murder cases is mind-blowing. Then again, Edwards was able to accomplish this while acting as a police informant on at least half the murders he himself committed and was still able to avoid any suspicion in most of them. Oh, and he was also the person responsible for mailing the anthrax letters in 2001 that killed five people. This guy liked every method of killing ever devised. Be careful, America. Just because Edwards has been dead for four years doesn't mean you are safe. Death can't stop a guy this good from doing what he loves.
This guy may be even crazier than Time Cube guy.

You can't be 100% sure that he didn't commit those murders.

People have taken wild ass statements in books as fact before. You just need a little faith in the author.
