Though I've always found it weird that a good number of the legit stuff that MRAs complain feminists don't care about are the exact things that feminists do care about. i.e. they claim that when men get raped, feminists laugh at them and say men can't get raped and that they probably enjoyed it, which... wtf kind of feminists have they been talking to?

They haven't been talking to any feminist. They just read/watch the biased media and then blame women for their problems rather than look at the issues they raise and figure out that they are either just as much women's issues or completely ridiculous non-issues.

I love the false rape reports issue because you know they're including victims who recant, which is not the same as having evidence of a false report. Which essentially means they want the same injustice for women that men are supposedly experiencing.

Yep, that.

They don't seem to get that the bulk of "men's issues" are women's issues and stuff that feminism addresses. Like how they're apparently against chivalry because they think it's sexist that "feminists" get to demand that women be treated like delicate flowers who must be taken care of, while men get beaten up and made to die in wars. Or that women are allowed to show emotion but men can't cry without being considered pathetic weaklings. So much for the strong feminist push to stop getting people to see women as capable humans and not fragile dolls, and that considers chivalry a form of benevolent sexism because people should be polite and helpful to other people of any gender out of kindness, not out of thinking that those people are too inept or fragile to do stuff for themselves. And how a major part of feminism is to stop people from considering femininity to be weak or shameful, which would, if successful, also remove the restrictions and pressure on men to always present an uber-macho front for fear of ridicule for being like a woman.

It's frustrating because a lot of the issues that the MRAs bring up are things that I agree are problems and that I agree are sexist. But those are all feminist issues because they're ultimately based on the misogynist notion that women and femininity are weak and inferior. I particularly sympathise with those men who were victims of rape or other sexual abuse from women, but who had their trauma dismissed and mocked when they reached out for help; there was a Reddit thread where some of them shared those experiences, and it was the first time I sympathised with any MRA, because no one should have to go through that. But it's feminists specifically who are fighting back against those harmful attitudes, not trying to reinforce them. No feminist (untrue Scotsmen aside) would respond to a male rape victim with, "but you got to have sex with a hot chick, stop whining already."

The comments aren't unexpected in an environment where MRAs can spew off their tirades while hiding behind their anonymity.
